Korean Center, Inc. (KCI), founded in 1974, is a non-profit
organization dedicated to helping Korean Americans and other
Bay Area residents realize their full potential through education,
training, and social services. Its mission is to foster community
building by encouraging awareness about Korean American
identity and promoting meaningful communication between
younger and older generations of Korean Americans.

KCI offers programs for seniors and youth, as well as translation
and immigration assistance. In 1995, KCI established the
Intercultural Institute of California (IIC), which offers Master of Arts
degrees in Professional Application of Korean Studies (PAKS)
and Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language (TKFL).
